Well, it turns out that due to my trip to China this summer, I have unknowingly (until now) enjoyed "Premier" status with United Airlines and US Airways. This explains why I've consistently gotten assigned to Zone 2 during boarding, even while sitting in aisle seats towards the front of the cabin. (I guess that it also explains the large "PREMIER" stamped onto my tickets... But who pays attention to these things, anyway?...)

Unfortunately, this benefit cycles according to calendar year. So of course, I didn't even realize that I had been enjoying this perk until there are a mere 3 days remaining in 2007. Who knows when I'll achieve this lofty status again...? Back to Zone Avagadro's Number I go.
